Michael CrowleyMichael Crowley is dedicated to helping Americans find the connection between the natural and cultural worlds.  Michael holds a BFA from NYU/Tisch, as well as a Master’s in Arts Administration from Goucher College. His award winning thesis, Somewhere That’s Green: Environmental Stewardship in Performing Arts Organizations (viewable here), explores ways in which our country’s performing arts organizations can utilize practices and programming to educate patrons about pressing ecological issues. Michael served on the management staff at the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York and is currently Producing Manager of 9ThirtyTheatre, NYC’s first environmentally-themed arts organization. While at New York Restoration Project, Michael worked on MillionTreesNYC, the city’s aggressive urban forestry initiative. Michael currently serves as Program Director of HowGreenIsMyTown.com, a clearinghouse of policy and best practices for municipalities, businesses and schools looking to go green. Michael is also a member of VerdantArt, an organization providing consultation to artists and organizations committed to exploring sustainable artistic creation.
